Caring for your board

Thank you for purchasing a handmade cutting board! To keep your board looking beautiful and performing well for years to come, follow these simple care instructions:

✅ General Care

  • Clean after each use with warm water and mild dish soap. Wipe down with a soft sponge or cloth.

  • Never submerge your cutting board in water or put it in the dishwasher — this will cause warping or cracking.

  • Dry immediately with a clean towel and stand the board upright to air-dry completely.

🛡️ Protection & Conditioning

Your board has been pre-treated with pure all natural tung oil, which nourishes and seals the wood. To maintain its condition:

  • You can choose your own option for a conditioner. I recommend food grade mineral oil with or without some sort of wax (beeswax is popular) Reapply conditioner every 3–4 weeks, or when the board looks dry or dull.

  • Apply a thin layer of conditioner with a soft cloth, let it absorb for 15–20 minutes, then buff off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.

  • Regular conditioning keeps the board water-resistant and enhances the natural grain
